Leading Lady: Taylor Swift Covers ‘VOGUE’ February 2012
Were you expecting Nicki Minaj for the February Vogue cover? Quite possibly since rumors have been flying about the raptress gracing the glossy. However, the February 2012 look belongs to Billboard’s Woman of 2011, Taylor Swift. Deserving? Of course! The country pop star has blazed the charts and tip-toed into the hearts of a wide audience. Despite an upset between her and ‘Ye, the hip-hop world has opened its arms to the sugary sweet songbird.
The platinum-selling 22-year-old says this about her follow-up album:
“There’s just been this earth-shattering, not recent, but absolute crash-and-burn heartbreak, and that will turn out to be what the next album is about.”

Tamera Mowry Talks Date Nights and Giving Up Space as a Newlywed
Eight months after walking down the aisle,Tamera Mowry and her husband, Adam Housley, have
pretty much gotten the hang of newlywed life. But as she told PEOPLEmagazine, it’s not all roses after the honeymoon. “In the beginning, you have this adjustment phase, now we’ve kind of got used to our own little rhythm,” she says.
pretty much gotten the hang of newlywed life. But as she told PEOPLEmagazine, it’s not all roses after the honeymoon. “In the beginning, you have this adjustment phase, now we’ve kind of got used to our own little rhythm,” she says.
One of the biggest adjustments the couple had to make was giving up personal space, she says, which was evident on season one of her reality show Tia and Tamera on the Style Network.
“I’m so used to having my bathroom all to myself and my poor husband’s like, ‘I need to get in. I need to get in.’ He needs his own space, too, so we had to learn that.”

Despite a few expected hiccups, Tamera and her husband still seem to be in the honeymoon phase somewhat, making sure they take time to let one another know how much they mean to each other.
We text each other little love notes and we always have date night. Adam always brings something home from wherever because he travels the world.”

Quality time is also important, she adds. “Sometimes we travel the world where it’s just us. We enjoy each other, we love history, we love art, we love culture, so that’s how we do it!”
What Men Want! Joan Smalls Makes “Lust List” for ‘GQ’ Magazine
February has been deemed the month of love, and in next months GQ issue, the fellas (and ladies) will fall in love with Joan Smalls. The Puerto Rican fashion model debuts at the top of the “Lust List” and serves up plenty of sex appeal.
Rocking a white Louis Vuitton leather, OYE bikini bottoms and gold Manolo Blahnik pumps the look defines sultry and stunning. Her facial features which include a berry lip and smokey eyes give the feature a signature lusty look. The Vixen is certainly the perfect choice to top GQ’s list.
What do you think of Joan’s look?
Can Men Watch Reality TV in Peace?
A slew of reality shows appear on our television every day, and a lot of them cater to a woman’s incessant need to watch drama. We’ve gotBasketball Wives, Love & Hip-Hop, Bad Girls Club, Real Housewives of Atlanta, Jersey Shore, Teen Mom and a list of other shows that focus on love, sex, relationships, etcetera. My problem? Men, quote unquote, cannot tune into this shows without running the risk of having their manhood called into question. I chuckle at the notion. I mean, sure we’d rather a man tweet about a game of sports than Snooki’s latest drunken smush, but whatever floats your boat is cool with me. There are four male perspectives on the Jersey Shore that our men can identify with.
There’s definitely some shows that men and women can watch together, i.e., Love & Hip-Hop. Several scenarios in the storyline relate to how a man thinks, how he acts and what he says to his woman, especially with Emily B and Chrissy. Basketball Wives, on the other hand, has plenty of beautiful women that a man can, at the very least, gawk at. I’ve watch guys across my timeline get a kick out of watching the way they don’t want their women to conduct themselves in public, and it doesn’t seem like they’re being “less of a man” at all. On the contrary, it sparks some pretty good debates.
Of course, there are questionable TV spots, like Teen Mom and Bad Girls Club, that I feel a guy just might not be able to get into. You may question why he’s not watching basketball instead on that one, but I challenge us to be a bit more open-minded, ladies. I know plenty of guys who just like to stay in-the-know on television or can simply root for the males on these women-centric shows.
What do you think, Vixens? Can men finally watch reality TV shows in peace?
Think Like A Man’ Sequel?
The first silver screen adaptation of Steve Harvey‘s book isn’t out yet, but Sony Pictures has already given the word on a sequel. Hours ago, Will Packer of Rainforest Films tweeted:
“Pres of Sony/Screen Gems just announced a sequel to @ThinkLikeAMan on @IAmSteveHarvey!!!!!”
Could it be? We haven’t even seen if the first one is any good yet. However, the trailer does indicate some funny, ‘Yes, girl!’ moments to come. Starring film faves Gabrielle Union, Meagan Good, Taraji P. Henson, Michael Ealy, Regina Hall and comedian Kevin Hart, this movie may already have winning box office numbers in the bag.
What do you think? Did Sony Pictures jump the gun?
