When it comes to fashion, the Duchess of Cambridge is used to playing to safe.
But Kate ventured away from her favourite shades of beige and blue on a trip to the Olympic park yesterday, opting for a pair of coral-coloured jeans instead. And it seems her adventurous choice paid off as sales of the bright-hue denim increased 88% in a matter of hours
Kate arrived at the pitch wearing eye-catching skin tight three quarter length jeans, blue heels and an Emilio Pucci blazer - with an official Team GB supporters' scarf. She swapped her shoes for a pair of Adidas trainers but kept the jeans on for a game of hockey.Although it is not known what brand of jeans Kate wore, her outfit prompted sales of £14 jeans at Asda to soar.
And George has seen a massive uplift of 471% in sales of their coloured denim range as other celebrities are spotted sporting the bright denim trend this season.Cobalt blue sold out in the first week online at the rapid rate of two pairs per minute while coloured denim has amounted to 82% of all denim sales across George’s G21 range this week.
Clebrities spotted in fashionable brights include Kate and Pippa Middleton, Nicola Roberts and Frankie Sanford while Jessica Alba can’t make her mind up rocking yellow, pink and green.
